Canon Andrea Mwaka School is an international Christian school which aims to provide an education to students of
diverse cultural backgrounds, with opportunities to develop academically, spiritually and socially, to prepare them for
participation in the wider community.
We are a community of committed national and international teachers, support staff, volunteers, students and
families within the Diocese of Central Tanganyika. Founded on the love of Christ, our vision is to provide affordable,
quality education leading to International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams for students
in Tanzania from various religious and cultural backgrounds.
Students are offered excellent learning opportunities to achieve academically, to grow spiritually and to develop the
social skills and attitudes necessary for living and working in a multicultural society.
We are currently looking at extending the curriculum for IGSCE at 16-17 to Advanced Levels (A-Levels) at 18-19.
We propose offering a limited number of vital A-Levels, eg: Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Geography etc.
As a school we commit ourselves to:
Teach in a way that honours Jesus Christ.
Provide quality opportunities for students to develop to their full potential academically as well as
physically, emotionally and spiritually
Equip our students to live thoughtfully as global citizens
